Hungry Visitor

Sally has been barking and crying a lot lately and we've looked around and have seen nothing. Finally, I looked out by the garage and saw a deer rooting around in the snow under one of our apple trees eating the fallen fruit from last Autumn. The poor baby was hungry. Sally didn't know what to think of her though! Her hair stands right up on end.
She came back mid-day and again at night, but brought about 10 or her friends with her! It was too dark to take a picture.

Here's my favorite baby at the farm.. we've been helping out feeding the babies and poor Martha here had pneumonia and an injured leg. She was doing well for a couple of days, but this am she was going downhill yet again. Poor baby!
Sarah and her friend Logyn (and me too!) were sledding at the farm (again!)for a while over the weekend. Christian was at a friend's house for the night. Daddy came too and toted the girls up the hill, lazy bums did not want to walk!! :) We all had fun. After we went sledding we all went into the farm house to warm up and had some of Christine's home-made english muffins with jam and home-made butter, very yummy!!

It was a pretty sunny day, but soooo cold

I have more "people" pictures to add, but it quit on me (once again). I will try again real soon! Sally is scared of Kit, but Kit was curious of Sally!
We had to bring "Cinna-Bun" in the house due to the frigid temps last week. Poor Lacey-cat is wondering why the rabbit has to reside her cat-carrier. The rabbit is about the same size as the cat and she is not afraid of cats as you can see!

outdoor fun

Kit loves to roll. I've wanted to take a picture of him doing this for a while, but I always forget my camera. It's the first thing he does when he goes out.
Here he is rolling one way...
than another..

and he gets up, shakes and stretches

Sally loves the snow too. That long nose gets plunged into the snow looking for anything worth chewing.

The kids have been sledding at the farm quite often. Here they are wearing their new hats that Nana sent up from SC. She heard about the cold weather coming here I guess!!! (26 below on Friday morning!!!)

Happy New Year 2009!

We were invited to spend New Year's Eve (into the New Year!) with our neighbors Mike and Linda who live up the mountain behind our home. We all had a great time. Sally even came along and played with their dog "Moose". We stayed until the ball dropped and had champagne, it was a fun time, thank you so much Mike and Linda! You guys are like family to us! Christian and Sarah exploring. The elk and moose seem to be posing too! :)

I caught it on camera Mike and now we have proof.. Sarah DID hug you back!!!!

Eating our last meal of 2008 by the pretty fire-place. It was a great one!! Mike and Linda had a big spread.. everything was yummy guys! Thanks for the apple-tini Mike and as always, the liquid candy was awesome when we welcomed in the New Year!
