Annual Ballet Picture Day

Sarah at the barre

Sarah and her teacher posing (Sarah knows the names of these positions but I don't know how to spell them so I won't even try! haha!)

Now I KNOW this is 5th position feet. These are the outfits they will wear in one of their dances at the spring recital, (they will wear the black too for another dance they'll do that day)cute aren't they?!

It was the annual picture day at the Upper Valley Children's Ballet yesterday! Sarah has been attending since she was four and every year I notice a difference in the girls on picture day. I remember when she first started and they had a hard time just sitting still for the photos to be taken!! They were all just so darn cute though with their little tutu's on and stumbling trying to hold that pose. Of course they are still cute, but getting so mature!! It's sad though how fast they grow. A few of these girls have been in with Sarah since she started and her teacher puts up pictures that were taken each year and my oh my how much they have changed :( stop growing so fast girls!!!!

Beautiful Easter Eggs

**update: Easter Sunday!! The Easter bunny brought me a new camera and I just had to try it out! (I guess he's heard me complain about my old one quite a lot.. it did not work half of the time!) I took this shot of Daddy and Sarah before they left for church. She's holding up her music that she's going to sing today at the service. I am home with Christian as he still has a fever. Not a high fever, he's up and around but he's coughing terribly. On the mend though! Sarah is fine as you can see, first day without fever since last Sunday.. HORRAY!
Have a wonderful Easter Sunday all!
love,
The Parenti's

Christ the Lord has risen today! Alleluia! Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia! Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia! Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia! Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia! Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia! Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Happy Easter!! I thought that I would take some pictures of the kids (and Daddy too!!) coloring Easter eggs!!

I haven't gotten the chance to update in a while.. both kids have been sick and you can probably tell by their little faces that the flu is still with them (especially Christian). Sarah missed all of last week due to fever and Christian's started on Thursday morning. Fever and a terrible cough! They both made trips to the doctor (Sarah twice since her cough was so bad) and it's viral, so we must wait. Hopefully they both make it to parent/teacher/child conferences which are Monday. It's nice to not have school for that day, so they get some more time to feel better anyway! We've missed so much school due to snow days though, so our district has decided to extend the school day three days a week for a month to make up for one of those days.

ANYWAY, the kids were up and around somewhat and feeling like coloring eggs. They missed the Easter egg hunt at the masonic lodge this year due to their fevers, but we had fun at home anyway! We're all hoping to make it to church tomorrow, if not, Daddy and Sarah will go if she's okay.. she is suppose to sing in the children's choir for the service, and Eric is the usher tomorrow. If Christian still has the fever mom will stay home with him.

We hope that everyone has a happy, safe and healthy Easter!!

India night at school

goofing around a bit!

Sarah and her pal Shannon turning around and flashing those beautiful smiles!

Well, here is Sarah's backside anyway!! She's just dancing away! A good shot of one of her friends though.. I love how her hair was flying up as they were twirling around.

Before the big show!! Sarah on the far right with a few of her friends dressed up in their Indian dancing clothes. What pretty outfits girls!

We had "India Night" at our elementary school this past Thursday night. The kids (girls anyway!) performed a traditional Indian dance, there was a big buffet of all sorts of Indian dishes, stories with shadow puppets and booths showing more on the Indian culture. Very interesting! Sarah did the dance and I tried to snap a few pictures (before my camera died.. yet again!) I didn't get a very good spot for pictures during the dance but I got some other cute "posed" pictures of some of the girls. I did not catch any of Christian as he was behind the curtain doing a shadow puppet.. no dancing for him!!! I added a picture of the three of us goofing with the camera. :)

Thinking of summer!

Friends...

Sarah at the wheel!

Cute boys..:)

I love this one of our Sar-bear.. too funny!

During this cold, snowy (and icy!) time of the year in New England, one can't help but dream of summer! I feel like I have had enough!! It seems spring will never come at this point in the season...We really have had a rough time with weather this year, although I think it is a typical winter. The past few years it really has been mild and we have gotten spoiled! The summer was brought to my mind and I wanted to share some pictures of our last beautiful summer. We rented a party boat with our good friends Nancy and Mike and their children and went out on the Conneticut river. It flows in-between Vermont and New Hampshire and it was interesting to be right in the middle of the two with views of both states. It was a gorgeous day! We stopped on the shore near a sandy place and enjoyed a picnic and the kids swam. We had been living here for over five years and had never been on the Conneticut until that day and the river is right across from our home.. I kept wondering why we had not done this before as it was just so beautiful. We spotted wildlife along the way.. enjoyed the scene of cliffs where falons nest (and even saw a couple!), and the kids all took turns driving. ..How nice! Just a very relaxing enjoyable day that we WILL do again!

I also added a picture of Sarah in her own little flower bed she planted. The seeds she choose all took root nicely and here are some of them in full bloom! We can't wait to see these pretty flowers again!
