HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our dear friend Nancy F. (Shannon and Liam's Mom!) We hope you had a great day!
also.. please check out Sarah's newly updated blog: http://www.asilearnasigrow.blogspot.com/ it's all about school happenings this week!
Family Reunion! This is a family friend's daughter Kayla (also in Christian's class..) and also owner of our dog's mom and brother! Here is Sally on Kayla's lap with Lucy and Benjamin. Kayla and her family are going to be "puppy-sitting" Sally when we are away visiting my parents in SC in a few weeks. Sally is getting a kiss from mom.. :)
This is Christian's first year at the middle school. Things sure are different there! More teachers, more students and more homework! He's been keeping up with his studies pretty well and his hard work paid off. Congratulations Christian! Great job to Sarah too, who is doing well and liking the third grade. (we just had three-way conferences last week.. which are parent, teacher and student.)

Last weekend we went to see one of my preK students play hockey in Hanover. This is my good buddy Jordan. He got to play at the same rink that the Dartmouth team plays at.. how exciting!!! He has been asking if I can go and see him play there and he was thrilled! The team was soooo cute to watch. He's quite the skater!!

Sarah and her friend Logyn got a chance to peek into an historic sterioptican that is on display at our local library. (A book of historic pictures of our town in the foreground. )It was a real treat to get to touch and explore something that is so old! Pictures of our town were in it to view. Very interesting!

Ballet Pictures 2009

They are dancing to "Emily's Reel" this year... if you want to listen to it, there is a link on Sarah's page www.asilearnasigrow.blogspot.com we haven't updated that in a while, maybe this weekend.
...
It's a toe tapping tune!! :)
I uploaded these in the wrong order.. this is what they do at the end of each lesson, it's a way to say thanks to the teacher and they clap for her and for eachother at the end.

Warmer Weather

Sarah got to go on her first ride of the year on St. Patrick's Day. Here she is afterwards getting a kiss. Mommy said "tell Kit to kiss you, you're Irish!", so here she is getting her kiss and smiling really big. Sarah rode yesterday too. The weather was just gorgeous! Today we were back into cooler temps, but spring is here! Mommy's feet hurt from running along beside..Sarah cannot ride on her own b/c the fields are way too muddy (and still snowy in places too. ) so we had to go down the road. Kit was so happy to be out though and it went well!!
We went to our neighbors house to play on their flat, clean driveway. (ours still has ice/snow.. our neighbors gets more sunlight so it's nice and dry too!) Sarah brought her bike and Christian brought his basketball. Daddy brought over the hoop and we got a nice taste of some warmer weather activities!! This was taken last week, and most of the snow is gone now. (Thank goodness!)

making a shot !

Sarah with her little snow man. (what a cute cherry-tomato nose!) The last snow man of winter.

weekend pictures

We made it to church! Horray!! Sarah has been soooo sick this winter, so we hadn't attended in a while. Last wed. she came down with strep, which is basically the only thing left she had to get. She's well on track now with antibiotics, thank goodness for that! Christian read scripture in church on Sunday. I snapped shot as he finished. He read Exodus 20: 1-17 and John 2: 13-22. He reads beautifully.
I like this shot of Christian.. the suspense of watching a Syracuse (Daddy's favorite) basketball game. (Sarah patting the kitty in the background.)

Sally can now play dead and she surprisingly does not confuse it with rolling over, smarty pants! She'll do anything for a bit of human food!

A boy and his dog
It was "costume day" at Sarah's school on Friday. She decided to be a flower-girl. This is a gown that I once wore and it's one of Sarah's favorite dress-up items! Her hair was all curled and she carried a bouquet. (Sally got in the picture too, can't you tell she's one of the family?! Wherever the kids are, she is there too!)

What little girl doesn't like to twirl when she has a dress on???

homework time.... again! (obviously I didn't get out a whole lot this weekend, I caught the fever bug that was going around, but I did manage to get some pictures from inside the house!) Daddy did take the kids out for breakfast today and grocery shopping while I took a nap and Christian had two basketball games over the weekend, so they got out anyhow! I should have given HIM the camera! :)

Sarah's tower made out of "magnetix". My mom bought these for the kids a few years ago and they are still a big hit!

It's one of Christian and Sarah's favorite things to do.. have Sally run after Christian then Sarah sticks her leg out so Sal can jump over it! Sally gets a treat afterwards of course!

The big win

The team won the Hanover Tournament that went on during our February school vacation. Christian was hoping for the black tee-shirt.. we have a few white ones, the black ones are just for the champs.. yay!!! The team was just thrilled! Here is Christian with coach. :)
Here they are just after receiving their metals. Look how happy they are! (Christian end, right)

The team went out for pizza after the big win! Here are Christian (with his 4th piece of pizza) and Sarah with their pal's Liam and Shan.

In the tunnel together. We couldn't get Sally to turn around AND stay, so here is a cute "butt" shot!

On Saturday we were invited to a sledding party at one of my former pre-school students house (and also a neighbor). The hill was huge and the snow was covered in ice since it rained all day on Friday then froze overnight. Sarah came down the hill with Daddy.

Here comes Christian
