this and that..

We decided to go for a walk.. we were all getting a little stir-crazy sitting around!

sorry bud.. no escaping with that IV pole!! The nurse taped it up so it would (hopefully) stop beeping so we couldn't lower it!!

what a goofy kid!!! ;)

Christian's window had a view of the helicopter pad so we took a picture of it taking off. Our friend Andy is an RN on the helicopter, so we would wave when we saw it go by.. (like he could see us!!!)

The IV got taken out and soon after here is Christian shooting hoops with another little guy who had the same issue that Christian did! (which the drs thought was pretty amazing since they only see 2-3 cases of that type of cellulossis a year!)

His science teacher Mrs. R came to visit :)

Liam came back for a visit and Levy too.. visitors really helped put a smile on Christian's face!

After shooting hoops... tired him right out!!!

We had a snow day last Monday, so Sarah came to the hospital to hang out with Christian. They had crafts going on while we were there.. (not Christian's thing!!) but Sarah was thrilled to make "slime" with some of the other patients.

Sarah and pals waiting to make their lay-ups this morning. Our school's teams all had a fundraiser today.. each child had 100 tries at lay-ups to raise money for our school's sports program.

here we go..

shoot!!

Christian

Christian woke up with his eye swollen shut on Thursday morning (first picture) as a result a sinus infection that spread to his eye. He's at chad (children's hospital at dartmouth) until the infection is gone. I will write more later, I just wanted to let you all know what's going on.

new baby devon

A new baby calf was born tonight!! While doing chores I always walk down to where the "big girls" are and check and see if anyone has had their baby yet (and if anyone has broken a water line etc..) . There are a few that are close to due and "Jane" had her baby not long after I left tonight. She was born so quick!! The farmer checked her and thought she was going to go at anytime.. put down some bedding and went to get his wife. By the time he got back (a few minutes!) baby was here! We raced down to take some pictures. It's a special day when a baby is born because it doesn't happen every day on a small farm!! I spared you all the bloody shots.. :) Here are the cuter ones!!

giving birth is hungry work....

and being born is tired work!

bath time. mintues after birth baby is up and walking.. never ceases to amaze me!!

we said "hey Jane!" and she turns and looks.. too funny.

Sarah with her favorite heifer, "sunny joy".

last pictures of 09!

Rivendell boys AND girls teams won the Lyme tournament last week! Here is Sarah with her metal. Way to go Raptor's!!!!

After chores we got to head up to our neighbors (Mike and Linda's) house to welcome the new year!! It's no secret that Sarah loves animals! She hung around with the dogs while we were there. Here she is with their dog Moose.

Sarah playing with Moose and Sally

Christian eating Mike's famous hot wings (and I mean HOT!!). I could only eat one and Christian was eating them the whole time we were there.

Our friend Christine's dog "Harry" (a beautiful Bernese mtn. dog) was barking at this stuffed coyote.. it was pretty funny!

Mike, Eric and Christian waiting for the ball to drop. Eric is too excited about the new year! haha!!

Happy New year Sarah! :)

Utay, a friend of our neighbor (and now a friend of ours too!) yodeling! She is from Germany and can yodel beautifully. She even gave me a lesson. I have a video, but it's way too long to try and upload on here.. :(

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We hope this year is a wonderful one for all!
