Some writings from last year...

We wanted to share a poem and a "how to" writing by the kids. I was looking through some of their papers and such and found these. I remembered reading them last year and thought them very cute and wanted to share! Sarah wrote this poem one day (2007-1st grade) while she was looking out the window at the snow falling. This is something she did at home one day and it is one of her favorites (mine too!) She would like me to share it with you! I am typing it word for word :) :

The Whit World

The wole world is coverd in white even in the nyit. Wen you look out your windo you will see a whit blankit strecht acros the valy. Little white dots falling down the sky. The nyit's are vary cold. All winter long. You can mack a snowman or have a snowball fite. You can mack a snow Angel but, the best thing about winter is Chrismas. Chrismas is Jesusus birthday! thats wey winter is my favrit seson.

Here is something Christian wrote in his school writing notebook-2007-4th grade. It is about a big interest that he has.. basketball!!! Again, word for word!

Are you lonely? If there is a ball around and some kids you can play basketball!

Step by step procedure to play basketball

1. First get your the person your training.

2. Then go get your basketball.

3. Then drive to your school gym.

4. Then tell your person to take the basketball in their hands.

5. Now tell them to walk up to the half court line.

6. Tell them to place the basketball in their hands and shoot the baketball into the air and try to hit the basketball inside the box and you'll probally get it in the hoop.

I would play basketball because.......

If I was bored

If there was a ternament

If you like sports

Now go get some friends at school and play bcketball!!!!

Here's a tip. When you are shooting at the hoop bend your legs and jump.
