Fields of Lupine

We went to Sugar Hill, NH to visit the annual Lupine festival held there. I wanted to try and make it this year because I love Lupines, and we missed last year.
We went to "Polly's Pancake Parlor". The kids ordered these amazing hot chocolates. Here is Christian with a mouthful of whipped cream.

I get a shot of this each time we visit Sugar Hill. I can't resist.. isn't it a pretty scene? I just wish it would not have been so cloudy...

I'll try and post another picture on Sarah's blog. She updated it herself last night too.. finally!(good typing practice!) http://www.asilearnasigrow.blogspot.com/

In one Lupine field we walked in, they had "inspriational" plaques along the way. We came across this one.. a verse of "for the beauty of the Earth". It's one of my favorite hymns.

For the Beauty of the Earth, for the beauty of the skies, for the love which from our birth, over and around us lies. For the beauty of each hour, of the day and of the night. Hill and vale and tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light. Oh God to thee we raise, this our hymn of greatful praise!

Wow, what a beautiful scene I guess so! I love flowers too. They make things seem so "homey". Were there trails or something for you to walk through where the inspirational plaques were placed? What a neat idea, I'd love to see it. What else goes on during the festival? I hope that Christian enjoyed his birthday. He's getting to be a big boy Jenny. VERY handsome too!!
Hope to see you soon.
love Jenny
